Decorate & Donate a Tree
Each tree is handcrafted by a group or individual and donated to the Festival. You can theme your tree around a loved one, your favorite place, your business, or even your favorite music group!

Purchase an artificial tree or construct your own “tree” to decorate.
Be creative: any number of things can be a tree (dress form, tomato cage, wood, paper, fabric, metal ,etc.)
You are only limited by means of delivery and your imagination!

All tree/creation donations 3 feet and under will receive two general admission passes to Festival and donations taller than 3 feet will receive four passes. Passes are valid for daytime use on your choice of Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Share this info sheet with friends and make it a group effort.

Trees in the Festival will be judged by a panel in categories such as Best in Show, Most Festive, Best Use of Materials, Most Clever Idea, Most Whimsical, Best Representation of Christmas.
2025 Judges
Betty Ann Medeiros is a distinguished Danbury-based artist known for her evocative watercolor and oil paintings. Her work portrays both figures and landscapes. An alumna of Western Connecticut State University, she holds both a BA and an MFA in Fine Art and Illustration. Betty Ann's work is available for purchase through her online gallery/store, MedeirosFineArt.com, where you can find both original paintings, fine art prints and samples of her commissioned work. She is also represented by The Barn Gallery in New Fairfield, CT.
My name is Sue Newton. I'm honored to be asked to be a judge for the Festival of Trees. I have a Graphic Design degree and have been working as a picture framer since 1979. I own the Barn Gallery and Frame Shop in New Fairfield, which I started 35 years ago. I am a lifelong resident of New Fairfield, where I enjoy family, friends, and the beautiful outdoors!
Avery Gomez is a proud Danbury native whose experiences within the local community and beyond have shaped her work as an artist and art educator. She brings a combination of hometown pride and broad artistic perspective to her role at Danbury High School, where she teaches classes in drawing and crafts. A first-time judge, Avery has enjoyed the Festival of Trees for many years as a guest and as a guide for her crafts class students in designing trees to be donated to the event.
