The Silent Auction at Festival raises on average $20,000 each year. It is most effective with one or two leaders and an additional team member or two.

Auction Chair and committee responsibilities
Solicit and display 10-20 high quality auction items/packages. Some examples are: tickets to sporting or theatre events, weekend get-a-ways, jewelry, one of a kind experiences.
Identify and secure auction items, maintaining detailed spreadsheet of value and donor info for thank you and starting bid values.
Chair/Co-Chairs attend monthly Festival planning committee meetings, bringing status updates and requests for items to other members.
As Festival approaches manage the online auction system including posting photos and descriptions of items.
During Festival set up week, set up and display as appropriate auction items at the Summit
Communicate immediately on close of auction with all winners and manage the pick up process for items, the Monday after Festival at the Summit, or another time if committee chooses to.
